ADHIKR

When the Messenger was striving to find a remedy for the dark lifestyle that prevailed in society, his people opposed him and his mission. The mental struggle that the Messenger had to endure at that time is described as “The burden which heavily weighed upon your back.” It is warned in verse 6: 31 that the Arabic Qur’an-reading Fujjar, who live here aimlessly neglecting Adhikr, will bear their evil burdens upon their backs; and in verses 20: 100-101, it is warned that those who neglect Adhikr will carry their evil burdens on the Day of Judgment.
